  • You're right. I can't argue with that!! You've actually opened my eyes on a couple of things, thank you :). I was thinking about that myself, to read the whole Quran once and for all. I've listened to it in podcasts, but obviously reading is better. I don't feel so bad about the magazine anymore...wonder how I'd try to turn that around in the video I made lol. I still think it should help model an example...but I get it now. Thanks!

  • Unr3achable,

That is good that you are looking into reading your holy book. I hope that whatever you are looking for that God is there with you when you find it.

I have a question, have you tried to email the magazine? Start some dialog with them and have your voice heard. From the looks of the magazine/website, it is relatively young and I am very sure your feed back as a young muslim female would be invaluable to them. Just a thought, and again, good luck with what you are seeking!

  • haha! I bet you didn't know I'm half american! lol. I don't think any different than you do at all. My mind was scrambled so things probably didn't come out right at the time n so I missed some supportive points. It's true that the heart is what makes a muslim. I am not God so I do not know anybodys' faith. The issue with me is I'm scared it's resembling an offset example of what true islam has to offer. I was hoping for it to inspire me. I'm not trying to pick on it, I was just sad...thats all

  • Unr3achble,

Actually, I just figured you were some where in the west, as to your nationality, I never tried to guess.

Even if it is a derivative of what Islam has to offer, I do believe that the person's common sense will aways prevail. True, girls are bombarded with what is a fad these days, however, like I mentioned below, parents must take a role in knowing what is good and bad for their children's upbringing. I know mine did and she always said to me, as long as you don't hurt yourself.

  • Thank you very much for this response :). I find it really interesting. I strongly agree with the intent part. I never thought badly of the intent of the magazine, at all. And it's true, I am not the one to judge who's religous or who's not. I'm not against that. It's just not representing proper islamic teachings. I dress like those girls in the magazine myself, but I was hoping it'd help encourage struggling teen girls to embrace their religon with pride without needing to bend rules.

  • Unr3achable,

I am a big believer in common sense and I do think that if these magazines think that they can bend the rules than we have to remember it is up to the person(reader) to decide on the merits if the magazine conflicts with that persons morals.

I also think that the role of parents must play a part in what children(under 18) watch and read; in this case, with the magazine.

If you want inspiration, spiritually, I would recommend to read your religious bookm the Qu'ran. Seriously.

  • /facepalm excuse me are you muslim?I dont think so then what makes you think you know enough to say what makes people muslim or not.If a muslim women does not wear a hijab when in public with other men at all times she is committing a sin according to islam even if she wears it improperly its still a sin in islam. So no offence but you have no idea what your talking about in that matter.another thing why dont you have a link to the rant your responding too?

  • well said, but why are you in sun glasses inside in the dark?

  • Totally agree :D

  • they are good for sucking cock

  • you have big niga lips

  • Wearing the hijab does not make you automatically a better muslim.... But a true muslim girl should have enough self-discipline to reframe from the temptations of this crazy world.

Contrary to what you might think.. People have good intentions 100% of the time even when they lie.lol does that make it right?

This is equivalent to me saying I have good intentions so I'll not pray 5times a day..loool God knows I mean well, but let me go to the club tonight then I'll pray tomorrow. lol

  • With all due respect brother, you are missing a crucial aspect on why Muslim girls wear the hijab in the first place.

I can see your relatively knowledgeable on Islam, but your assurtion behind why muslims wear the hijab is simple misguided.

Since your guy you'll never fully comprehend the significant of the Hijab.

So, essentially your saying; with good intentions you don't have to wear the hijab if you don't feel like? lol thats quite proprosterous if you ask me.

  • Great video brother...

  • Cycloneous: the newest Simpsons character!

  • Thank you! Perhaps I will :). Thanks again for your replies. :)
