Debroy Somers seems rather restrained here which is to his credit. A lovely lilting sound on this rarely heard tune, in slow fox-trot tempo.
Debroy Somers was a long serving and prolific recording artist for Columbia. His name appeared from 1927 and continued throughout the thirties.
Vocal chorus by Dan Donovan
Recorded 19th December 1930.

  • Dan Donovan, perfect voice for this type of record!.Only natural for the band to be longing for a foxtrot or a quick-step.It must have been harder to find a really good slower number like this one.
