The Living Desert - Palm Desert - Indian Wells, California

The Living Desert is a unique place. This video does not do it justice. If you are in the Palm Springs - Palm Desert - Indian Wells area, you owe it to yourself to wander through. Visit them online at http://www.livingdesert.org - but try to visit them in person. The Wildlife Hospital facility is impressive, the Cheetah and Big Horn sheep (among the other animal and plant exhibits) are awesome and the small gauge train display is cool. I can't quite get myself to call The Living Desert a "zoo" because it seems like so much more than that - but that is their self-assigned "title" - so I guess that will have to do. The desert is an amazing and interesting ecosystem.
