@Tdeppe1966 The interviewers were probably not that familiar with "memes" or usual pictures people use to show irony or sarcasm through captions. That's why they probably were unable to say it's a meme. It wasn't just about Keanu's "sadness;" it's about the Sad Keanu meme. Google it and you'll see why it is to some degree more newsworthy than other stupid questions made by media people. Kinda shows light, actually.
