Spootiskerry & Willafjord - Sheltand Reels on Mandolin

Spootiskerry is a modern composition by Ian Burns. The title is the name of his family croft near the town of Sullom in the north west of the Shetland islands.

Willafjord came back from Greenland and the Whaling expeditions. To paraphrase the great Tom Anderson "think of walking along with one foot in the ditch, bopping along, and you'll get the rhythm"
I have double tracked myself adding some guitar backing....

Lovely job! The guitar chords really fill it in.

Are you merging two separately recorded digital tracks or do you play along with a recording of the guitar? Whatever its GREAT!!

I have tried various ways...this is a video of the mandolin playing - I then took out the audio track into Audacity, added the guitar and then put the new double audio back into the video...a little long-winded but it works@ Glad you like the result
