This is a time lapse clip of roasting coffee from raw green beans to a dark roast in about 12-15 minutes using only a cast iron pan and green beans. Super easy and delicious.
'burn' is a relative term. Some people like the roasting level that you went to. Next time take the beans out about 30 seconds after the first crack ends and you will be much happier with the results.
nice roast! were did you get that pot? is it a 1 quart? i have been all over the net and cant find anything in the 1 quart size. it makes scense that a more compact mass of beans would roast better.
..joe4ska.....damm,,,You have to tell the whole world that keep it to yourself I know you don`t listen to ska music after saying something like that....
Good for you!! - what a headache. I WILL roast some this way eventually, but I'm definitely stuck on my popcorn popper in under 5 minutes :-)

It came from Lodge Manufacturing. This exact one seems to go in and out of stock. But really, any pan will do it, cast iron or not.

Not at all. Thats a colander from a company called Sterilite and it works great. No melting, no funny tastes.
