  • @Stophocles, The smell you are describing is often from DMS. If you did a boil with your pot covered, this can trap DMS in the wort. This is a guess based off of the smell you are describing.

  • Thanks for the tips. I'm beginning to wonder if my batch that ts in primary right now will have off flavors because of my brew kettle. At least right now after that brew it's got a real stench almost of rotten vegetables or something.
