@mbeuthe1 In most circumstances I would agree. As for America anyways, we prescribe drugs to energetic children and call it a disorder. We make up things like "Depression" and artificially regulate some ones mood levels, permanently damaging them. In all these regards, I agree with you. However, Anabolic-Androgenic Steroids deal no harm, and if used properly cause no reliance factor. They simply allow humans to surpass their given genome. Allowing those with the determination to become a hero.

Took a step back and realized what I was good at. Although I had a problelm gaining weight I never had a problelm in the strenght department and was very strong for my weight. So instead of turning to roids I turned a negative into a positive and switched my training from body building to training for strength competitions and have not looked back or regretted since. I feel like my work outs have a purpose now, I have 10 times more functional strength and coordination than I did before

And to anyone out there who is on the fence about taking them I would suggest taking as step back and asking yourself what you are really working out for and is it worth it. I spent about 6-7 solid years working out toward bodybuilding with the goal of maybe some day competing. My results were pretty good. However I was a very hard gainer and was getting fed up with all the eating. This is the point that most ppl start doing roids. So what did I do?

@VitaminJ What are they training for ? Just to look jacked so that everyone can say hey there goes that jacked guy. To me that is insecurity. Most people out there can get pretty big and pretty strong without using steroids. It may take a little bit more hardwork and discipline but that is life. I just think that taking steroids is an easy way out and it sends the message that if things are hard you can just take the easy way out
-
That isn't the case for most - how about those who have the will and devotion to train to the limits, but lack the hormonal levels in their body to benefit from it? Steroids balance the hormone field so that every ones genetics, are more equal.
-
That maybe true for most recreational users but at the elite level it is about being able to exceed natural limits of strength and endurance, to train harder and play more often, and all around compete at a high level for longer.
-
it is true they do not pose as many risk as some drugs that are legal but why cant u build muscle w/out them . I think there any easy way out and a short cut 4 ppl that are too insecure and dnt have the drive and the focus to gain muscle naturally. The only reason these ppl use them is so they can get jacked quicly bc they they need other ppls attention too feel good about themselves

it appears that the argument for steroids is significantly stronger than the argument against it
