@miamystery I think there are several reasons why industry has went to China, but do you really believe that the high cost of labor here in the US had nothing to do with it? I find it funny when I hear people talk about corporate greed, yet say nothing about the financial resources of the labor unions. And corruption, you know during the Doyle years, WI was ranked as one of the top 5 most corrupt state governments in the country? I think at one point they were 2, only behind IL.

@miamystery That's a stretch. I think I saw the News story on that -- they're having to pack 3 kids per desk, kids are starving, 100 kids per teacher, pushing old people off cliffs. Something like that.

However, I do find it interesting that you ignore the fact that Walker is actually HARMING civilians by cutting funding to programs that support the health, development, and wellness of children and the elderly (via cuts to BadgerCare, Reduced Lunch programs, etc).

@762x51n8o Unions did not send industry to China and the developing world. Corporate greed and inhumanity did that. Unions also did not cause corporate bankruptcies or the economic downturn. Again, that was corporate greed (i.e. pursuit of a corrupt and imagined credit system aka the stock market).

@NewWorldAhead They "DID" create those things. Just like the Republicans DID free the slaves. For one thing, Walker has targeted PUBLIC EMPLOYEE Unions, not Private. Second, since you're so Pro Union, here's something else unions have created: A bankrupt GM, Ford, Chrystler, which is why Asian carmakers have been so profitable, and why most manufacturing jobs have went overseas. That's right, KEEP on unions, and we'll have no manufacturing jobs here.

1) the weekend 2) the vacation 3) the coffee break 4) tolerable work conditions 5) health care 6) child labor laws 7) work hours etc.
