A hastily made tribute to my single favourite female historical figures, after reading the poerm she wrote in her final hours of life in the Tower of London in May 1536.

A piece of fragile, memorable beauty, what she was known for in life, she was known for in death also.

  • Beautiful slideshow! 5 stars! Anne Boleyn is my favourite historical figure, too! It's a very moving poem, but it is very likely that it was not written by her. You have chosen some nice pictures and very atmospheric music! What is it called?

  • Thanks for the comment and rating LadyViolet7, to answer your question, the music is two pieces from The Tudors Season 2 Soundtrack CD ((all composed by the wonderful Trevor Morris)) , called Anne's Final Walk and Smeaton's Sad Violin
