  • This looks great! Could you give me a general idea about what you did with the color/saturation/contrast? Did you use color wheels? Thanks.

  • @AngrySlop Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. I generally brought the whites down, the blacks up and reduced the saturation. However, on a few of the clips I acutally reduced saturation. I did push the color balance a bit towards orange to give a warm tone to the image in the dustier scenes. In the darker forest scenes I adjusted the hue toward cool colors.

I also shot in cinema mode, which seems to give a flatter image more suited to grading and keeps the gain low, reducing noise.

  • I very liked the grading! Looks professional.

What color correction did u use in Final Cut? Did u light the scenes, or u used only natural lights?

  • @sebipayne Thanks. I used the color corrector filter. Final Cut Express only has the one-way version. All natural light. I believe I used a car sunshade to bounce sunlight into the actor's face at 0:32.

  • I was at the screening and I loved the film! Great job Cody!!!

  • realy good my only problem was with the gunshots not that i'm a top class filmaker or anything close to it but I guess it just bothered me (I'm picky) other than that the shots were very well done.
