The Unofficial Kid Icarus Soundtrack: 'Forest Fugue'

You know, first Showdown in the Sacred Realm Phase 1 and now this, I've turned into Nintendo's unofficial composer. That's not a bad thing.

Ever heard of Kid Icarus? He's leapt back into mainstream attention thanks to Super Smash Bros. Brawl but the Kid Icarus series used to be the sibling series to Metroid. There are a great deal of people who want the series to be revived. I see a great deal of potential in the series myself.

This is 'Forest Fugue', a forest temple/dungeon theme designed for a new Kid Icarus game. I think that a new Kid Icarus game would have to go a similar route to the Metroid series (into 3D) but have completely different gameplay.

The music I will be composing is designed to go along with this new direction. It is currently completely unofficial, but I'd like to change that. More information about this track is featured in the video.

If it helps to get the game completed, I'll do up to the entire soundtrack myself! I'll even do it for free (plus a free copy of the game and future consideration of my composing services.)

I'm not giving you this theme. No way. Not unless you're Nintendo, or working with them on a Kid Icarus game. I'm looking at you, Factor 5 and Shigeru Miyamoto.

Sure. However, if the vitually impossible somehow happens and Nintendo does uses some of the pieces, it will then be under Nintendo copyright and you'll have to either get their permission, or remove it.

But since that's very unlikely to happen, go right ahead. Its nice to know these themes are being used for something.

That's high praise. I would like that very much, but I doubt it would actually happen. I do this more to show that there is demand for a Kid Icarus game and help it to happen.

Although, I do mean it when I say I'll compose the soundtrack myself if it helps get the game done. Who knows, maybe someone from Nintendo will drop on by and I'll get lucky...

I would prefer to work with at least one other person though, I don't have an actual orchestra at my disposal, at least right now.

This is not a fugue. Fugues use the same melody in each voice, albeit in different keys.

I personally think that a new Kid Icarus (which Nintendo would never admit ISN'T coming so i'm curious..) game should be 3D but wouldn't be good being like Metroid.. I always imagined that it'd be like a different kid of Zelda game, where it's 3rd person view and attacking like in Brawl but using arrows and such would be like in Zelda and u'd be able to fly... kinda confusing but i'm sure Nintendo would be able to make something of it.. i'd like it that way..

Me and my brother have decided to take over where factor five quit. So, we have a game made up and are asking your kind permission to use this unofficial soundtrack in our game idea. Of course, ours is only an idea, but we have a great amount of help for the game and are intending well.
