QUIT THAT!!!!

I bet it would cost more than a Quarter (probably a Queen's ransom) to get this Quaint clip back into the shows regular circulation again. What they do have nowadays makes ME Quiver!

@JOHNSTAGS The reason so many people dislike Sesame Street nowadays is its most popular character, Elmo. Somewhere along the way, it became "The Elmo Show". My girlfriend has a granddaughter who watches it, and the times I've seen the show I've seen almost no resemblance to the original show from the 1970s.

When I first saw this at 3 years old, I recall sitting around the house yelling "Quiet!" like that.
I also remember that when I first saw this, I didn't know what he meant by "quiver" and that the stem was quivering at that moment.
I find it fascinating how I pick up on so many details I missed as a little kid watching these clips now that I have a better command of the English language more than 35 years later.

What about Q-bert?

@RJSchex Wasn't Jim Thurman also working for The Electric Company 1971-7 as a writer?

Yet another post by someone who hates the way that Sesame Street is now! That really seems to be the in thing to write about! Wow!
Is this the voice of Jim Boyd before Electric Company? Who narrated this?

It's not Jim Boyd! I know his voice well enough to tell.
