Hey if i want to record my video games, how should i do ?

i play mw2 alot and i would like something that records in good quality and something that doesnt need me to play whilst connected to the computer so could i use this to record my call of duty gameplays and transfer this to a usb flash drive and then edit on my computer..wat advice do u give me???

ive got this, was going to use it with xbox 360...you cannot use a direct hdmi cable so im using the xbox hd cable(the one with 6 audio video connections)...unfortunatley the video quality/graphics are immediatley noticeable,so much so i blame this for me getting my ass handed to me on mw2 on afghan,wont be using it again,currently trying to find out if i can just record what is on my tv without losing quality.
