WINTERPLAY (윈터플레이) - Nikki Yanofsky and Haewon Singing 'Lullaby of Birdland'

Nikki Yanofsky, a 16 year-old Canadian jazz-pop singer from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Nikki jammed 'Lullaby of Birdland' from the album "Ella...Of Thee I Swing" with Haewon (WINTERPLAY). Also, Juhan Lee's trumpet performance just astonished many Canadian musicians. Nikki Yanofsky sang Canada's national anthem at the opening ceremony of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Winterplay released 2nd Album in Japan "Sunshines" and title is 'Go Baby'.

니키 야노프스키, 캐나다 퀘벡 출신의 16살의 팝 재즈 가수, 내한시 윈터플레이와 가졌던 즉석 잼. 니키의 데뷔앨범 '엘라...오브 디 아이 스윙(Ella...Of Thee I Swing)'의 수록곡인 [Lullaby of birdland]를 윈터플레이 보컬 혜원과 듀엣으로 열창하였다. 특히, 윈터플레이의 이주한이 들려주는 트럼펫 연주는 캐나다의 연주진들을 깜짝 놀라게 했을 정도... 니키는 2010 밴쿠버 동계 올림픽 계회식에서 캐나다 국가를 불러 더 유명해졌다. 윈터플레이는 일본2집 앨범 "Sunshines"를 발매하고 타이틀 'Go Baby' 로 활발한 활동중이다.

@gumbyhasgun Maybe that stuff is going on, maybe not. I am a big Nikki fan, and a clinical psychologist and know from my work how easy it is to assume and read into something like this. It may mostly be that Haewon is a very reserved, not so spontaneous woman-seems like that from her other work. If it was so competitive, they might not have got together to jam in the first place. And singing it in english seems to take something out of it for Haewon. Still a marvelous jam.

competition going on b/w naturally gifted babygirl and a college graduate who probably worked her ass off to put out her name

personally think nikki killed that one. genuine jazz vocal

while haewon's sound like a korean culture assimilated style
