They can afford flash cars because they don't pay tax like the rest of us. Most of them probably pay no tax at all. They get paid to clear rubbish and take it to the local dump. But they don't want to pay to dump it, so they either fly tip it of leave it on the land they are illegally on.
The most important action to take now is to pick up all the litter around Dale Farm and take it to the landfill, if this hasn't been done already. No one is going to want a Traveller site next door after looking at Dale Farm on google street view. With the flash cars etc. on show it can't be said there isn't the finance for a big clear-up. Tidying up will boost support more than anything else at this moment.
There isn't going to be any preferential treatment. Many of us will now fulfil our cultural preferences without local 'authority' interference. This is the green light to go ahead with your office in the garden, extra accommodation for a family member or whatever you need. Just make sure it doesn't affect your neighbour. Any local 'authority' interference is best dealt with by calling for support. You will have support as long as you haven't damaged or littered your neighbours land.
And not stolen from your neighbour
