"Don't you know, we're talkin about a revolution"
We are Humanity's Storm"
I'm putting this video out there in the mean time. But the real plan is to create an advocacy video in the light of the "Ondoy" tragedy, which will guest more Filipino artists in the song. The Red Cross is still asking for more support internationally despite the swelling of volunteers and donations in the country. Sadly, the news flash says that the help is not enough and assistance from international shores is urgently needed.
I actually composed the song way before the tragedy happened. And to be honest, this song was the reason why I carried out simple actions beyond the call of daily life, during the aftermath of "Ondoy". I had to practice what I preached, and I eventually gained the experience I needed to further grow as a human being. As did so many of my friends who contributed in their own ways. :p
Almost overnight, so many people across Manila, and other flooded areas, became heroes in their own right. And friends around the world expressed sympathy and concern for the affected. It's phenomenal how the human spirit triumphs in adversities. it's true that Ondoy/Ketsana was a force of nature, however, a different force took over the people.
We're calling on the rest of the world to help us fight for life. We also speak for the rest of the other nations nations affected by calamities at this time, and who are struggling with the fight as well: Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Samoa, Indonesia...
*photographs and stills were from my camera and other youtube videos about the tragedy.
Please pass this on to everyone.
