Why do the notes of this video say that The Seance is not availble on DVD? I just checked and a compilation called The Specials was released in 2008 with the following:

when I published this video it wasnt out on dvd so I felt it worth putting on youtube as before the dvd this episode was very hard to find

What I find most intriguing about this is how completely the participants bought into it....even though Derren said SEVERAL times to them, right from the beginning, that seances were just clever trickery, and there was no actual paranormal activity.

Just goes to show how powerful the mind can be when it wants to believe something.

@MountcastleFilms I'm not going to engage in adhominem attacks, it just demonstrates the piss poor knowledge you have. This isn't "stage" hypnosis. He uses a range of techniques from NLP to subliminal suggestion to influence a persons subconscious thoughts, thus affecting their conscious actions. Perhaps you should watch another show of his which explains further. Better yet, You can go to one of his LIVE shows, Svengali. Where he can convince you otherwise.

@MountcastleFilms Umm no, the techniques employed are in fact real techniques. Neurolinguistic programming, hypnotic suggestion, subliminal messages etc. Maybe you should do more research, beyond your computer screen. I've read books on these techniques, and it works.
