it has piezo pickups on the bridge that process the sound of each string separately. the overdrive&distortion don't come from the guitar. the guitar produces nice, regular clean sounds.
i didn't know what to buy when i bought mine, and i didnt have a lot of money to buy a great guitar...i thought i coulnt go wrong with this one. i was right! i love it and i'm not planning on selling it! you really get to know different guitar tones with this thing..

for us guys, who are willing to spend $300, to practice at home with all the effects, no chunky amplifiers and great sound.

hey i think it's called "hall of the mountain king" - rik emmett of triumph used to play it in his solos, way way better than i ever could....
