Absolutely. Without the liquid latex the gelatin can begin to harden and peel off within an hours.

hot shower and the gelatin dissolves and basi facial cleanser to remove any makeup.

I was just wondering, I see that it says that you should put an overcoating of liquid latex to prevent the gelatin from drying out and cracking and what not. And I've found a liquid latex substitute being liquid silicone however I've never worked with gelatin itself and was just wondering does gelatin itself contain any latex? I myself am allergic which is why I use mass quanities of liquid silicone to cast all of my appliances for FX prosthetic appliances.

Putting on vaseline over the hair line makes it easier for it to come off without ripping hair out. I usually put vaseline over the eyebrow and around the hair line in case latex gets onto any hair. (:
