Anup Sastry - Song 2 Play Through

Watch in HD!!! This is an original song by me. I plan on uploading a few videos like this where I play drum parts to original songs I write and record. This is part of my solo project I am slowing developing. I plan on uploading more videos/songs as I make them. All of the guitars are pretty much programmed by the way. I bought an Agile Septor 7 string recently for my studio. I decided to write songs on the drums, this way I can use drum parts I write and really enjoy playing. I then record these songs on the drums. Then I use the Agile and basically take multi samples of notes/chords/mutes/etc. that I want to use for that song. I then arrange these samples to my drum parts. It seems like a long process, but I have started to develop a good work flow for this stuff, so its getting easier and easier.

This is just one of many that I plan on uploading! This concept of sampling the guitar and actually recording the drums is just an experimental thing I have wanted to do for a while now. They sound fake as hell in this song... lol, but it was fun making this! It also gives me material to practice and develop my editing/mixing abilities!

sorry to be a naive retard but what program do u use to write the guitar lines for?? i like the sound and would like to use it for my own writing :)

@TheMMGStudio Hey man! I play and sample an actual guitar. I've tried a couple of programs that are just large sample libraries of guitars (DI), but sampling a real guitar just works for what Im trying to do!!!

After spending 45 minutes on trying to figure out your fills , it made my realize that all these fills (and everything else to) just flows out of the playing. While you play it, it just feels so "logical" and "natural" and fits the music brilliantly. It made me respect you even more. Keep on being awesome man.
