This show aired 10 years before my time, but some of the scenes look familiar - in a surreal way. Were the opening scenes shot along the QEW? Back in the late 1950s, places like the future Mississauga (then such small towns as Clarkson, Port Credit and Cooksville), Oakville and Burlington were largely farmland with pockets of newly built subdivisions, and the QEW was a four-lane (and, towards Toronto, a newly expanded six-lane) throughfare. God, have things changed in 50+ years!

i remember this as a young viewer

Paul Birch was born in Atmore, Alabama and was recently inducted into this small Alabama town's local Hall of Fame.

@NitroNoriFan I LOVED that show!
Nori is struggling in WSB this year. Too bad. I am a loyal Ducati fan. I raced a DS1000SS for 3 years in amateur road racing.

Boy, that was years ago... Brings back memories. I used to watch Cannonball all the time when I was a kid. I would love to see a rerun of the shows now since I'm retired...

William Campbell is hot! Whatever became of him? My mom loved him when she was a kid and would like to know.
