Pokémon Yellow Anime Style - Episode 3 (Ash Catches a Pokémon)

A little experiment at playing Pokémon Yellow all the way through as Ash and trying to replicate the anime as much as possible, meaning only catching Pokémon Ash catches, fighting battles in the same way, etc. I'll be uploading them based on each Pokémon episode.

In this episode, Ash attempts and succeeds in catching a Caterpie in the Virdian Forest! Then (after a LONG time of looking :-/) Ash catches a Pidgeotto to add to his team! He battles a few trainers in the forest and his Carterpie soon evolves into Metapod.

(Apologies for choppiness - this only exists in this and the next video ...)

One thing I always remember when I play it like this is that CATERPIE evolved before ASH encountered PIDGEOTTO.

Nope, cuz Ash sent Caterpie out to battle Pidgeotto, and Misty chastised him for sending a bug to fight it. Caterpie evolved after Ash defeated Team Rocket at the end of that episode, after he caught Pidgeotto.
