Well here it is, my first collaborative project.

It's a short student project inspired by the infamous 1997 Game Six between Kasparov and IBM's Deep Blue. Chess experts out there should recognize the moves played in this game.

Took a bit of artistic licence and decided to call the game two moves before the end.

This project was challenging because it was my first time to work with a team mate and we set ourselves a deadline for New Year's Day. Looks like we barely made it!

We had to do some compromises to get to the end, and frankly I kind of regret jumping straight into this without studying Normal Maps, Displacement Mapping, and Hi-Res Sculpting.

Well, all in good time.
Hope you all find something to enjoy in this short subject.

  • @maxderheld Thanks. :)

  • The government probably has a computer/robot capable of this. Nice job on this. The computer/robot was kind of an ass YOU LOSE! But the guy was a sore loser, so, yeah. Funny he threw the chess piece, lol.

  • @Gr1mmReap3rT2 Thanks... It's good to have a fan. :)

  • Wow this was realy good! Do you have a job?

  • @SuperHappyFan Hey Thanks! It's really humbling this rush job finish still manages to have its fans. :) I don't know if it will surprise you but I'm not pro at all. Right now I'm really doing this as a hobby. Thanks again for commenting.

  • zero sum game...

  • @blazraidr Thanks. This really isn't the best I can produce and it's made me seek help in FX and lighting. Part of growing I believe is being able to see the limit. But there is also the discipline to work the deadline. And our personal deadline came up. So it's finished.

  • cool, but the overhead shot had too much white and it was blown out. good job though
