@changrider - I like putting 2-strokes in bikes. The only problem is with US emissions laws being what they are, it's close to impossible for such an engine to meet those standards!

Cool bike, now if they only brought back a updated version of the GT series with the 2stroke triple engines. Yes, that would be awesome! Unlikely, but u never know, who would think something like this or the Royal E. could be bough new today!

A tach would have been nice!

what's the top speed

Just as with the Ford Mustang, Dodge Charger, & even Rolleiflex Mini Digicams, this is further proof that people, well many of them it seems, like "retro" looks/style (coupled with "modern" technology). Many people are "nostalgic". Something smart companies pick up on. So, I want a beginner bike. I always loved Honda CB 100,,175,200,etc looks. I can't see buying a 30+yo bike, so I gotta have this bike! I LOVE it's look! Can you tell me the approximate cost please? Can't wait to buy it!!!

Wish they made a 500cc single. Still I'd probably get one of these before getting a Royal Enfield as far as reliabilty goes.

Does anyone know if this bike is Made in Japan?
-
@SpeedingStudent - It DOES have classic UJM (universal Japanese motorcycle) looks to it.
-
@wuweiwarrior - Both Suzuki 250s (the GZ and TU) have advantages over the Yamaha in that (from my personal perspective) the ergonomics are better.

@Mandorelian7 I'm 6'1 and I find it comfortable - as 'SpeedingStudent' said, the upright position makes it a comfy ride, and more suitable for a range of riders. The longest ride I've been on my TU250x is about 90 minutes, but I never even thought of my legs or comfort level the entire time - which tells me it's not an issue. I think it's a great bike and a blast to ride. It's light and great for whipping around the city or through some twisties.
God I cant wait till I get mine.....such a classically styled bike. Very nice.

Just got mine today. Rode it home in the (ugh) snow. The only thing they missed in my opinion is that most of the 70s jap bikes came equipped with tachometers.
It gets a lot of compliments though and I think it is a real blast to ride around town. Haven't tried any freeway jumps with it but I imagine it will be limited in that department. Perhaps I will try posting a video review of mine once I get it a little more broken in. :-)
