Once you buy something, you own it and no one can stop you from doing anything to it or teaching anyone how to do it. If you have problem with, you can make yourself looking like shit by taking me to court like Sony did to GeoHot LOL

@porkchoppryde customization is aginst apple's number 1 rule: freedom of choice... as long as steve jobsa leads apple, apple wont have too many choices to give you.

Hacking will always be a nessessary no matter how you look at it, they can add more customization more apps ect but there will always be a need for hacking!

There would be no need to hack it if apple made A LOT more customization options. Also, if apple added more apps that can also be found on installer.app

To combat hacking, they should make unlocked phones more appealing, like approving more apps faster and making them available on their store. But currently, if you want cool apps you need to jail break ur phone first.

You know you can buy it in the states, or off of ebay, unlock it, go to Rogers, buy a sim card, put it in your iPhone and voila, you have a working iPhone that you can use wifi internet and calling and all the iphone can do. BTW, it is officially coming to Canada in June or July, so Im waiting till then, cause then the 3G iPhones will be here.

Yes.
Apple has a cut of the subscription fee.
It should be illegal for a phone to be locked to a single provider imo.
