For more than 100 years, Missouri State University has been equipping students to excel in the teaching profession. Missouri State Universitys College of Education graduates the most teachers, administrators and school personnel in the state. With national and state accreditation, the College of Education adheres to the strictest standards to deliver an outstanding training program for educators.

Whether your passion is working with toddlers or young adults, Missouri State has extensive programs that will meet the expectations of any student pursuing the field of education, either at the undergraduate or graduate level. The College of Educations numerous training facilities and practicum and student teaching opportunities provide students with real-world classroom experience to supplement their comprehensive education classes.

Students may observe or teach at the Greenwood K-12 Laboratory School, receive specialized technology training with eMints, assist Springfield Public Schools in areas of need through the Teacher Education Alliance, and reach out to the community through the Child Development Center, the Literacy Center, the Center City Counseling Clinic, and the Enhancing Childrens Healthy Opportunities project.

Missouri State Universitys College of Education also offers a variety of graduate programs and certificates to strengthen the knowledge and skill sets of todays teachers enabling them to advance in the educational field. Teachers easily access the graduate programs while continuing to teach in the classroom through online, evening and multi-campus options.

Graduate programs include elementary, middle school, early childhood and special education, student affairs, master of arts in teaching, specialist programs and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership.

All students may receive assistance in scheduling classes and preparing for certification exams from the Professional Education Advisement Center. Following graduation, new teachers receive support from the Beginning Educator Assistance, Renewal and Support program to ensure their new career stays on track in the classroom and beyond.
