Back in 2003 KOL played 3 tracks in the Townhouse studios, London. I had the pleasure of working with them back then and have enjoyed doing so ever since. I have remastered these clips for fans who might have missed this the first time round and remember how they were in 2003.

@MrNosurprises True KOL fans have been with them since Holy Roller Novocaine, can appreciate Only By The Night and Come Around Sundown... and will understand and love what comes next. Every album is a different faze of their lives. If they're too mainstream for you then go be 'indie' somewhere else

@xEglex There's one thing in which I can agree with you though. It's a fact that they never made another song like Pistol Of Fire or Red Morning light. I give you that but it's a result of their growth as a band. Their sound evolved and so did their style. Now, I wasn't calling YOU hipster, I was calling it to those who call sell outs to a band when they get their first song on the charts. Given the state of commercial music today, it's a good thing bands like KOL can actually get there.

@xEglex Look I get what you're saying. I knew KOL since their album Y&YM. I used to talk about them to people I knew and no one knew them and then, a few years later, everybody said they were their favorite band just because they liked Use Somebody a lot. It's a bit lame. Same thing happened with Muse and with Radiohead.The thing is, it's not that they're songs are worse. They just were given more attention for the more commercial ones. It's a natural thing to happen.

@xarepe1 You go on youtube and start typing in 'kings of leon' and the first thing that comes up is 'use somebody' followed by (not even spelled correctly) 'sexes on fire'. Whatever happened to classics like 'holy roller novocaine', 'razz', 'pistol of fire' and 'wasted time'. It's all long forgotten by kings themselves and under-appreciated by the present-day "fans"

@xarepe1 it's not a 'hipster' way of thinking at all. It's not about the fact that they're well-known now. They were just as well-known back in 2006, just not as commercial. It's about how their music style has changed completely. Their first 3 albums were brilliant in their writing and compelling in their music and then in 2008 it all changed drastically. It's just sad.
