No trekking equipment, weather unbelievably bad, and a 7 hour trek back to camp. Before we climbed up, the weather was cold and cloudy, but dry; once up, rain then snow started falling, and shortly after this video, a full on blizzard struck. The temperature was around -5 centigrade, at 12,664 feet. Unreal
Our horse guide trapped us there, and with us at his mercy tried to demand alot more money, and when we didn't pay up, just turned and left.
Our guide was wearing a t-shirt and very thin jacket on top. I had deck shoes on, with no socks, and my friend had canvas trainers from a market in Almaty. Neither of us had more than 4 layers on.
Oh and the incline of the slope we had to climb up and down was so steep, we were sliding.
Sodden wet, frozen solid and barely able to breathe, we eventually made it back down the pass after almost an hour of slipping and sliding
(Our fault though, really, for wandering around this kind of territory like a couple of tourists)
