This is a brave man. I have a medical condition that asks that I do this procedure every couple of years. I am 30 and had my fist colonoscpy when I was 19. My first one was not good and I woke up from the daze during it and it did not feel good at all. I never forgot that. After that expierience I requested to be put under full anasteshia. It went much better but I would say that a person can only go thru the prep and procedure 3 or 4 times before it becomes too much. It wears you down.

This has only been my expierence and I do agree that if you are sick it is important to do it and you'll survive and it will be a great weight off your shoulder but I personally don't have it in me to do it again. The prep is horrible, I'd seriously rather get beat up or jumped. The procedure is scary and I'm not a pussy but its a scary thing. If you do go thru with it, by time you get on the table youll be so wore out the rest is easy but just thought I'd share my expierience.

@julius5626 I know exactly what you mean. I make light of it in the video a bit, because it is a bit uneasy to talk about for most and as you say, it is not within any comfort zone we are use too. But I understand the importance of looking at the inner hard ware. I think your right... By the time you get to it you are exhausted and just want to get it overwith, prep and everything. Congrats yourself, you got through it. Good health to you my friend.

@julius5626 I don't blame you. This is not a procedure most want to go through. I can't help but chuckled with your response "rather get beat up or jumped." There is nothing pleasant about this procedure, but the piece of mind knowing your inners are in great shape, or not is worth it. At least for me. I'll get another in 10 years. A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. And if you can't go through it again... At least you did it. And your piece of mind is better off for it.

Thanks for the reply. Figure there may be many out there that are afraid of preventative colonoscopy. Felt if done with a little humor, it might break the ice for those considering a very imporant exam in ones life. It's really not a big deal and is really worth a piece of mind. Especially if colon, or any type of cancer runs in the family. It does not run in my family. I had it done because nobody is immuned.
