Hey, man... beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And that thing is awesome. As working artists, needing to do what you do within time constraints, etc, I think you do a good job of blending old traditions with new methodologies to create. Awesome. Also... can I have your sign? I need an anvil... :)

i understand that we live in the "modern" age but i hate to use arc welding on forged pieces. you have an amazing shop and production I'm sure is key but the beauty lies within the old techniques of forge welding and cutting plate with hammer and chisel, or hacksaw. I'm not saying that that wasn't cool, but imagine if that piece was made with traditional techniques then it would be amazing.

Personally, I'm happy to weld something as long as the weld is hidden. Modern electric welds visible on forged pieces can entirely ruin their aesthetic appeal. All this said, that sun flower is very nice!
