  • I bet Rupert Murdoch could pay for us all to have a paper from him and he would be more popular. You know, this shows that the rich like Murdoch never think, mind you, he probably doesn't wnat to be like judging by some of the stuff he does.

  • Great to see him coming to an end, what with Facebook and all.

  • Journalism = The fine art of stating the bleeding obvious

  • So, Murdoch, you want to challenge the concept of "fair use" in US courts and seek to have it barred altogether. That's what you said at 3:55. Murdoch, please, for the love of God, get the hell out of the United States and go back to Australia... if they'll take you. ☺

  • No I'm not on Twitter.

Of course he interferes with his newspapers, why not, they're his (well they're News Corps but few shareholders have voiced dissatisfaction with Murdoch's method of doing things in a long time).

Its like me buying a house and you telling me I have to paint it blue because if people choose to come and look at my house and its red then I'm brainwashing them.

  • NO. I guess we're not in agreement then. I don't believe what he's doing is for any good. No favours. No I maintain he's evil.

  • The fact is Murdoch has generated good returns for investors over the years, he's developing better content, higher quality content and is looking at better ways to distribute that content- he's an innovator.

If you look at what he did here you'll see he did us a big favour, since the dispute about him moving the location of the printing press from Fleet Street to a more hi-tech facility in Wapping no British paper has lost a single edition due to the bullying unions.

  • Yes. I do believe either he or whomever or whatever he works for is censoring information. There's no doubt about that. Yes yes, we're in agreement here. R you on Twitter...there's a bunch of ppl there you'd find in agreement.

  • I meant do you believe that if you own something such as a newspaper you have the right to decide what is printed and what isn't- I happen to believe you do? The alternative is state intervention, a far worse prospect than Murdoch or Maxwell or any of the others.

News Corp is deep in debt ($12 billion) and yes it does seem he wants to own as much as possible and will pay any price for it, but its up to him.

  • Do I believe he owns the newspapers? I have done some research on what he owns, in the UK and here. He's beyond what you realize...I can't get into all that here but whenever you find something always ask, who's the parent company and it's usually a Murdoch owned entity. The few things that are free and allowed to voice their opinion R things he wants to buy & control..Social Media is #1. It's almost the only place we have left & even there ppl. get blocked, suspended, wiped off...
