The wood work of the H13 800 sq. ft. relocation yurt platform is nearly complete. Perfect to supplying long term housing for Haiti Relief or for building Messianic Communities. Adding star support allows for yurt to be converted to a double story with a small crew in one day.
I have seen this design before. It is exactly the same as what the nomads in Mongolia use. I believe they can set it up within one hour with just a few people. My guess as an untrained person is that these tent like structures are far stronger then the buildings that collapsed in Haiti. The outer wall is a complete circle and carries all the load, it can be considered as one piece. Round structures are stronger to begin with and do not collapse as easy as square structures.
