Why Did I Get Dentures At 27 Years Old?

Im sorry for a lot of ummms and pauses. It was honestly hard for me to do this video without crying, but I wanted to do it. This is the first time I have ever talked so in depth about this situation and I felt that it was time to do so.

You are beautiful. A beautiful soul! I would like to thank you for sharing with everybody as I am about to or came to the realization that I have to do the same thing. My front teeth is loose and literally held by a nerve and all basically because of the same situation as you. Bad genetics, neglect, ridiculous work schedule and lack of/under insured dentalwise led to perio. Not really cavities but the bone is weak. It takes alot of strength to do what you're doing. I'm also glad you made this video as I thought I was the only one ever to get dentures so young. Made me very self conscious, still does, but I know once I get the implant held dentures it'll look ok. I'm concerned about them making the area above my upper lip look like it has a bulge. I have a very small mouth so basic dentures are too big for me. Thanks for posting.

I was always going to the dentist, brushing my teeth etc etc & suddenly when I was around 23 my teeth started to literally powderize & fall out, the enamel wore off or the teeth wore down to the gumline yet no davities. This all happened in a matter of months, found out it was an antibiotic I was taking that killed my teeth. Had all teeth pulled at 25 & can't even wear them because they don't fit my mouth & make me gag. Will look into impant held dentures when I have the cash.

@TheSupercitylover Thank you for your response. I really hope people do not think I am not appreciative of my dentures because I am. I just want people to realize that dentures are not a bandaid to make things all better. I want people to see the importance of dental hygiene. Some people are born with serious teeth and gum problems but others are just neglectful. Unfortunately I fell into the latter but I hope to use my experience to teach others and hopefully inspire as well.
