what about you put the pitchfactor on octaver mode instead of diatonic to get a fair comparison. Pitchfactor's octaver is way cleaner than the Hog's octave up/down...

It sounds like there are other effects happening with the Pitchfacter. You may want to try adjusting some of the other knobs on the Eventide pedal while you're in oct+ or oct -.

@RamonVerheijen Hi! I think he is not using the right settings on the Pitchfactor for the results he's are looking for, check out from 5:40 on of this demo:

hog!

hog is terrible. it's only and organ. it's very better spend less money and buy other pedals, maybe POG2. It's one of my big mistake that I made. I think echolutione is more better. By the way, it's my mistake. I hope that was full of sounds but is always organ sound the only that has it. I would like to sell it but no one is interesting. very sad.

HOG is a synth.
The PitchFactor samples the original signal and then does pitch shifting.
The HOG pretty much sounds like an organ.
They are 2 different technologies.

awesome playing sir.
this video really helped my decision, thanks!

extremely biased demo
and you realize the pitch factor is not even built to do the same thing as the hog ???
What's your guitar? sounds awesome

It's a PRS. Either a PRS SE 24 w/ a paf pro (bridge) and duncan jazz or a Hiland w/ wolftone dr. vintage - don't actually remember which guitar I was playing...

Thanks for taking the time to provide this stellar review. When one looks to spend money on a piece of gear, it's nice to know what you are in for and your article here is very helpful. Thanks so much!

No problem. That's kind of why I did it - I couldn't really find good "player" reviews of these pedals, which would have been helpful in my purchases.
