Custom Firmware. It's basically modified system software, allowing people to play user-made games etc. But so far the closest they have got to this is GripShift on the PSP-3000.

You CANT get Custom Firmware on PSP. GripShift is just a game from 2004, with a save data file that might be able to use homebrew. But I'm not sure if it will work on a chinese PSP.
