U.C. Climate Scientist and Scripps Institution of Oceanography Professor Dr. Jeff Severinghaus describes "Business as Usual" and "the Prudent Course" climate change scenarios. Dr. Severinghaus envisions a warmer and wilder planet. "Katrina was mild compared to what we're going to see in the future."

Jessica Crawford describes the programs and mission of the Birch Aquarium. The Birch Aquarium has partnered with Empowered Energy Solutions to incorporate natural selection in an iterative computational algorithm which compares complex scenarios in building energy modeling.

This video uses an image of a hummingbird as a metaphor for "taking a clue from nature." The term "biomimicry" describes the process of incorporating processes or behaviors demonstrated in nature into the design of products, technologies, or services.
