Lentils can be an important source of iron ,it's delicious and super easy to make.
In Morocco we eat le3dess specially in winter time. /
Les lentilles peuvent être une source importante de fer, c'est délicieux et superbe facile à faire.
Au Maroc on mange le3dess particulièrement pendant l'hiver.

  • Sousoukitchen, I told my husband to soak these and I'm going to start cooking this as soon as I get home....but I need your advice with one thing: the ingredients seem simplistic and I have smen that I made. I read about how smen is added to tardeh which also uses lentils but I have no idea if it would work in le3dess. Would a teaspoon of smen help the flavor and if so, at what point would it be best to add it?

  • @ddobro2 I never add Smen to le3dess, but may be it's a good idea, let me know about the result, the best way to add smen is in the last 5 min.

  • sousoukitchen lah y3tik sa7a , 3rafti nti li 3alamtini ntayab m3a ana jdid flghrba hhhh

  • @synergymodern I had a moroccan music when I posted this video, after a while, they sent me "copyright" so I choose this music from youtube library, because the video was not seen in some countries.

  • @sousoukitchen I used green lentils and red onion, I added 1/2 tsp of smen in the last 5 min and the taste wasn't even perceptible (I think the 4 cloves of garlic cover it well). It was good but I notice that when my husband makes it, it's more thick and creamy and conglomerated - he cooks the brown lentils in a pressure cooker first, and then adds the onion, garlic, tomato, and spices. Thanks for you quick response!

  • Shokran bezaaaaaf for this recipe! It's my favourite thing to eat, especially winters. And for (Moroccan) vegetarians these type of dishes are a lifesaver hahaha! So healthy, full of nutritions and DELICIOUS!

  • Sousou, you're a life saver. Whenever I need easy quick way to cook moroccan food there you are.

Thanks for sharing...and yeah the music is humm... a little too upbeat for le3dess :)

    Cheers!
