  • animation is a powerful tool right now - look at the rise of Southpark. For whatever reason, many people feel that animation is a more pleasing way of seeing things, but in addition, there are more possibilities for comedy and message when characters can be drawn as opposed to real people with limited movements. For example my psychology music video - I think might reach more people because it is an interesting and funny presentation - and so the important messages may get through.

  • Yeah, just knowing about such things can get one's imagination revved up, and all invention/exploration stems from imagination (in conjunction with information, of course). It is hard to get attention for quality ideas with all the hype crap flooding the internet. Where my own discipline is concerned, I am growing tired of every dope producing "edgy" cartoons with lame software. Too much material; almost no real content.

  • Thanks HWAC, I made this a long time ago. I know of no other animation of the 20 closest stars, even to this day. These are possibly stars we are going to pull closer to us and inhabit the planets of - or just simply convert the matter of planets around them into ships to grow to other stars. Thats a really nice comment - this video, like so many others has been ignored by most people.

  • I think that the astronomical model you have illustrated and explained could be used to teach kids as young as 5th grade or so. You explain things clearly. It is interesting how you also include some historical references. The burp is funny too. Do more of that.
