Christy Smith's life is a harrowing story of how cold and depraved people took him as a child into care and allowed him to slowly waste away by malnutrition to his death, while his sister watched on in frantic horror. Their mother had been incarcerated into the Magdeline Laundries for having children outside of wed lock. Both Mary and Christy were both taken into care and separated. Mary had not known of Christy until on a radio show with Gerry Ryan, that she discovered she did have a brother. This is Mary's story of her reunion with her brother Christy and how she was to witness him slowly deteriorating while reaching out for help from those in authority and the media. This like many other stories shows the system that was used in taking children from parents and placed into care through courts or involuntarily placed in mental institutions or the Magdeline Laundries. Parents and children were often told their relevant family members were dead and that no family existed now.
The church and state carried out the most atrocious and depraved acts on unprotected defenseless children. Families, the most fundamental unit of our society, have been savagely torn apart by religious and civil law. While the entire time using tax payer's money to fund their operation.

The Ferns, Ryan, Murphy and soon to be published Cloyne Report are the clear evidence of the genocide that has been carried out by the Church and States on the Irish People. There has been only one case so far from the reports released, that has been to court for hearing and conviction. Eight hundred Roman Catholic abusers that were given pseudo names in the Ryan report, walk free in Ireland. The Irish people are still subjected to a painfully slow genocide by the Roman Catholic Church and State to this day.
We can no longer live in a society or system where children and adults are subjected to the harshest conditions.
We can no longer turn our heads and look the other way.
We can no longer close our ears to the distant silent cries that cry out 'STOP'
We can no longer listen to the lies and deceit from those entrusted with positions of power, for these are the very people who allow it to go on.

It is now time to bring these injustices to light; they have been in the dark too long. It is now time for Justice to be served and the burden be lightened for those that have suffered, still suffer and for those who passed away into history unheard and unloved.

STOP THE GENOCIDE NOW.
