The change of moods within the song, both in this one and Jumpers, reminds me of Jefferson Airplane's "Crown of Creation", which came out, what, six years before Ms. Brownstein was born. :-)

She looks like she's intentionally acting like a robot in this video though. Particularly those sudden pivots and stiff arm movements during the slow parts.
