Once again Fr. Bob has it right...., mostly I disagree with him on one count, however. We need to ask God to bless America, but not ask Him to endorse America's actions.
To many people equate "God bless America" with "God approves of America.." As Fr. Bob says, Jesus would never approve of what America does day in and day out to her own people and others. Who would Jesus bomb?
I would say that now more than ever we need God's blessings, blessings in the form of changing America.
