my only problem with this movie was that if she was blind, how come her eyes were always actually pointed towards the eyes of the person she was talking to? I understand Lucius because she could see his color, but when Noah ran into the woods- she looked straight at him as he was running! Not very convincing as a blind person, but good otherwise...

I have to disagree somewhat for the most part I think Bryce did a really good job it's not easy pretending to be blind and blind people do have the ability to hear really well and quite often look in the direction of the person who is speaking, but regardless Bryce kicks ass and so does this movie : )

Gorgeous...Bryce was amazing as Ivy, and The Village is most definitely one of my favourite movies ever. It's SO beautiful. Oh, and what's the song called in this video? I love it!

@lavitaebella27 I've been told by a blind person that a lot of blind people are NOT 100% totally blind. Some can actually see you as a blur of colors up close. This is what Ivy meant when she said she knew his color. She is around 99% blind, but not completely. Believe it or not, there was even one blind person who could read very short sentences but she needed a magnifying glass and a very strong flashlight to see the paper.

In acting class, they said that "stealing the show" is very bad manners. However, this movie was a letdown because it wasn't as mysterious as I thought. On the other hand, I'm glad Bryce Howard got the role of Ivy because I can't see anyone else filling those shoes well. She carried the movie to the very end and all I remember is watching Ivy try to navigate past the creatures that terrorized the villagers. She made the movie worth watching.

The part where she offers the guard the gold watch with both hands is one of the most moving scenes, I thought. It's hard to imagine Phoenix was paid $5 mil for this picture while Howard received only $150K. Such a great movie this was

o:2 is an epic picture. It sends shivers down my spine. She portrayed Ivy brilliantly! She is my favorite actress too. Oh and what do you know, it's my favorite movie too! lol. My two fav actresses are her and natalie portman and isn't it funny that they are best friends? Man those are a lot of coincidences! Love the village. it is a chillingly beautiful story written by an incredible director, M. Night Shyamylan. It's a wonder why this movie isn't more popular! :)
