As you can see the tv and cable companies are either ripping themselves off or ripping you off.

A TAX is money that goes into the government coffers. This "TV tax" is money going into Rogers/Shaw/Bell's pockets. How is that a TAX?  Shouldn't it be called a Cable/Satellite tax?

I've posted on other sites about this, it is NOT A TAX!!! It is a charge to the cable companies only, they and they alone are making the decision to take their cost of doing business and imposing it on you, the end consumer. Don't bitch at the CRTC, call your cable company and let them know you will not tolerate paying for their expenses and if they impose their costs onto you, you will cancel service. That simple.

I wrote the crtc and also protested this obscene tv tax on every household in Canada, I also said if you want to see an explosion on illegal sat. system go up all across Canada, then go a head tax everyone.

One point people should demand from there member of parliment. Can the crtc legaly put through a tax on every household across Canada. Since when do they have the power to create a new tax on Canadians. I would think there is some legal problems with that.

E-mail the C.R.T.C. and your member of Parliment and tell them that if this "TAX" goes through, you will go "Black Market" for your television like I did. I know I certainly will go "Black Market" if this "OUTRAGEOUS TAX" goes through.
