@ergonominous I'm not familiar with any contracts Apple has or their practices. I said I wasn't sure where this is coming from so maybe you could exercise some people skills and just give me the info and less of the condescending remarks. Thanks.
this is so stupid. if all of you are against corporations then you should wear burlap sacks. the OWS movement is dead. it was stupid to begin with. Nobody cares about it because you guys do stupid shit like this. be smart and make changes from within. it's a game. everyone has to play. idiots...
I witnessed the whole debacle. The factory they were protesting about no longer has any Apple contracts as Apple moved after they found out what was happening over a year ago. Check the facts. I agree that there is injustice in the world and the Occupy Movement can do lots of good, but attacking a company like Apple that treats employees like human beings, customers like they deserve to be treated, and does so much for the handi-capable and society in general is very counter productive.
Stunts like this besmirch the name of the occupy movement and make the public think the movement is full of nut bags. This didn't raise awareness to anything, it just made every one involved look like crazy idiots and children.
I'm fully supportive of OWS and all priest against rising income inequality, corporate greed and irresponsibility. But this protest against Apple is really misguided. Really really misguided.
@ergonominous Did you guys take a trip down to the Sony store as well then? I don't think so. There is no need to disrupt peaceful people with non-peaceful protest.
@rydermike02 - Chinese laborers threatened mass suicide, because their commufascist government allows corporations to treat them like cattle...so that you and your snot nosed little brats can download apps and music on i-tunes and keep yourselves entertained apathetic and ignorant with video games on the idiot box.
Some of you need to watch the news more if you are "perplexed" as to why Occupy Tampa, would do this. Maybe you should turn off CSI Miami and pay attention to REAL life....
@MeganTyler7 - Maybe you should watch the news more. In seperate incidents, Chinese laborers threatened mass suicide over their working conditions and pay at Microsoft Xbox manufacturing, Apple, and Sony. Their demonstration, is raising awareness. And so you realize the connection,...these issues facing Chinese laborers, stem from the same CORPORATE greed that is corrupting our society and government.
