This is Neil Nathan's Grindhouse/Blaxploitation inspired Album Preview Video for his debut LP, The Distance Calls. It was co-directed by Jason Pohlig and features illustrations by Has and photos by Fabrizio Costantini, Serena Creative, Charles Steinberg, Juan N. Only, and Nicole Szalewski. The Distance Calls was produced by Bobby Harlow and engineered by Jim Kissling at Tempermill Studios and features a backing band of Detroit All Stars including Dean Fertita (The Dead Weather, QOTSA), Kenny Tudrick (Kid Rock, Detroit Cobras), John Krautner (The Go), Joey Mazzola (Sponge, Detroit Cobras), Danny Methric (The Paybacks, The Muggs), Ross Westerbur (Deadstring Brothers), and Loretta Lucas (Sisters Lucas, Mirrortwin).
