I have to say, this advise is all excellent. As a soon to be sophmore in college, I did "meh", in my freshmen year, the reasons why are all basically explained.
You NEED to engage in the class outside of class (e.g., the textbook), and you need to be awake and in class, every class.
Also, I find that when I'm in the front of the class I'm less distracted by people in front of me. When you're in the back it's like watching from a distance- you don't have to be as engaged.

@chiowa lol. STFU, take what you will from this teacher, but do not disrespect him. He could have done anything else in the world, but he chose to take time out of his life to make this video.. This video wasn't made for him, it was made for students like us. So give the man some respect, will you, and so forth.
