Quick video of the MV8-OP1 output expander being installed in the MV-8800. Same process applies for adding memory. I also show the PreSonus V-Fire being unboxed which is great compliment to the MV8-OP1. 8-digital outs to your DAW via Firewire! Visit mvnation.com for more info/help.

  • One just sold on eBay tonight for $514.

    33 bids later...

  • Roland MV8-OP1 Expansion Card For Mv-8800 WorkStation where can i get 1?

  • They have been discontinued by Roland (but I'd still call them). You must be resourceful and determined if you want one. They still show up on eBay and private sales semi-frequently. Pull the trigger if you see one though, or someone else will.

  • Firstly, I dont get why they didnt give multi-outs as standard like the Akai MPC??? Secondly, why did a board that costs only a few dollars max to produce have such a hefty price-tag in the first place??? Maybe if it had been more reasonable priced ie. $100 or so then they would have sold more and wouldnt have had to stop making them.

  • where did you purchase the mv-8-op1

  • Sending the MV out with only 2 outputs was pathetic - even my MC-909 has six. Called Roland this week, and they've discontinued the MV8, and this is for a three year old product. They killed R-Bus a while back and never sold the PCI card in the UK. Got a Delta R-Bus from M-Audio for my VM3100 Pro, but that's now discontinued. Used to be able to interface R-Bus to ADAT with with the DIF-AT box, but guess what? Discontinued! Really want the OP8 schematic, so I can at least get the analogue outs...

  • Yes, the MV has a dedicated phono-in, w/ pre-amp.

  • you can get samples of an lp with this like an mpc

  • On the MV8-OP1? Sort of...

The Rbus is digital I/O, but you'd need an Rbus audio interface like the V-fire.

The MV already has both an optical and coax digital out as a standard feature.

  • Nice Work I have to get me one

  • I want that dremel-style SD

  • gotcha,thx
