  • The thing with Jewel is, kind of like @52071492 said, that her own versions of her songs are almost impossible to top. She's a diamond. But, thankfully, so are you, and this cover would probably make her proud. I just hope you don't end up selling out like she did when she released 0304, haven't really heard from her since. Jewel wasted her talent on fame, but Hands will always be a masterpiece.

  • @msf01able Insulting one of my favourite artists isn't the best way to compliment me, but thanks. I genuinely don't think Jewel sold out. She's always made music she wanted to make & has done so passionately. 0304 was her exploration within contemporary pop music, and I liked the album. With a solid fan base, it takes serious balls to explore & follow your own path despite others' expectations, and I've nothing but respect for her- very admirable. (She's released quite a bit since then, too.)

  • Cool!

  • @dietcokewithcherry They told Dylan he'd sold out, calling him "Traitor" when he went electric. It's possible Phil Ochs had Dylan in mind when he wrote 'Chords of Fame'. Fan 'ownership' of an artist's style & material is a perennial issue. Having said that, I think you will like Melanie Safka's version of 'Chords of Fame'. It's your kind of song... if I can be that presumptuous:) The irony is that Phil himself eventually went on stage at Carnegie Hall in a gold suit - rambling drunk!

  • Great cover!! I enjoyed this very much!

  • Your voices breaks a bit when you say "broken"

I died a little inside. In a good way :)

  • I fall more in love with you each time you release something! <3

  • well, you're awesome, that about sums it up :)

  • a\maZiNg =] your one of a kind no doubt
