This is the song that really started it all for Frankie.
Back in 1946 Frankie was an unknown who just couldn't seem to make it as a singer. He would go into a small night club in L.A. called Billy Berg's. There he would get up during intermission of the main act and sing for free. One night he was singing an old song written by Hoagy Carmichael named "Rockin' Chair". Hoagy was in the bar that night and was so impressed
with the way Frankie sung the song, that he talked Billy Berg to hire him full time. A few weeks later, a fellow from Mercury Records was in the club and heard Frankie sing "That's My Desire". The rest is history.
ah, my grandpa used to sing this to me when we drove around in his car. such an amazing memory for me.
